THE BIG IDEA

Kingdom Security: Sweep, Secure, Occupy

Each week, we spotlight a Kingdom Dynamic: a key insight into how God’s Kingdom works in real life …

You have “rooms” in your life. And in your sphere of influence.

Your life isn’t a single open space—it’s made up of rooms, or domains. Each room holds a purpose and potential.

And Jesus is deeply interested in how each one is occupied, ordered, and aligned with His Kingdom.

🧹 Jesus taught that it's not enough to sweep a room clean of darkness. If it's left empty, it becomes vulnerable again.

“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first.” — Matthew 12:43–45a, NKJV

This is why Jesus doesn’t just cleanse. He wants to fill.

Like a security team sweeping a room for hidden threats, spiritual cleansing is necessary. But the next step is everything: we must fill the room with the Word of the Kingdom and the presence of Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

To him who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God. —Psalm 50.23 NASB

Each room represents a domain. Relational, financial, emotional, vocational, and more.

For example, is there peace with people? Have you done what you can to be at peace with everyone. Romans 12.18 NASB—“If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all people.”

That’s one example of a room rightly filled. Get it wrong and torment will leach into your life.

If we don’t occupy these spaces with KINGDOM ORDER, we risk them being filled with DARK DISORDER.

Jesus isn’t just Savior … he’s the Master Designer. When we allow Him to fill every room, the result is alignment, royal authority, and enduring freedom.

We need you clean and filled.

Jesus, I welcome you into every room of my life and every space in my personal world. Cleanse and fill each one with your Kingdom order. Empower me to bear much fruit and fully occupy the sphere of influence you’ve entrusted to me. All for Your glory. And for your expanding story via my life. Amen.

Holy Hack — Write to Your Earlier Self

This came to me today and then this evening. Just a spark or two. So we’re experimenting with something new in the Smart Edit. We're calling it Holy Hack.

🖊️ Take some quiet time with paper or your journal. Write a letter to your younger self—your earlier self in Christ. What would you say? What lessons would you highlight? What truths do you now see clearly that you wish you had known then?

But here’s the real potential: the Holy Spirit is renewing your new nature right now (see Colossians 3.10). What you see clearly today can shape how you live forward. There’s grace to grow and redeem time. You can accelerate. Keep starting. Jesus is that good.

Clear the rooms of your life and fill them with Kingdom purpose—don’t leave room for darkness. Jesus wants to occupy every area of your life.

Higher Thoughts

“My thoughts are higher than your thoughts.” —Isaiah 55.9

Winks from God. God doesn’t always guide with thunder and lightning—sometimes it’s just a wink. A nudge, a sudden knowing, a quiet check in your spirit. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye” (Psalm 32:8 NKJV). A healthy child can read a skilled parent’s eyes and just know. Stop, go for it, wait. Watch for His look. His wink might be all you need to pivot, act, or hold back.

Put a stop to it. Some things are meant to begin. Others are meant to be stopped. But heaven often waits for Agents of the Kingdom to engage. In the Court of Heaven, we submit petitions and injunctions. We partner with the King to release what should be … and restrain what shouldn’t. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace… (Hebrews 4:16, NKJV). When you sense heaven's “go” or “no,” don’t hesitate. Earth responds when sons and daughters take their place. Own your jurisdiction.

At publishing time, the president of the Congress, Mr. John Hancock, had said he would sign the document with much less vigor now that it had such a boring name.

Clear the rooms of your life and fill them with Kingdom purpose—don’t leave room for darkness. Jesus wants to occupy every area of your life.
