This week … God is with you now, but he’s also on the horizon, don’t be courteous with the devil, and more.

God talks up horizons—do you?

God is always speaking about horizons—what’s ahead, where things are going.

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure’” (Isaiah 46:10 NKJV).

And if our Father talks this way, shouldn’t we?

Of course, I’m not saying we are God. But we are His children—sons and daughters growing into His likeness. And part of that means learning to think and speak the way He does.

God declares where things are going. He speaks with authority over the future. He calls things that are not as though they were (see Romans 4:17).

And as much as we have ears to hear, we should be echoing His ideas and words over our lives, our families, our communities—aligning our perspective with His.

Because here’s the reality: we will never escape the story we tell ourselves.

If we keep speaking small, limited, fear-filled words, we’ll stay locked in that reality.

But if we allow God to shape our horizon—if we let His thoughts and words set the narrative—we step into something far more beautiful. Far greater.

There’s a narrative war over your life.

So here’s a healthy question: What story are you telling yourself? And whose words are shaping your future?

It can be subtle … “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life” (Proverbs 4.23 NLT).

Many are obsessed with future-proofing—securing careers, finances, even tech.

But think with me on this. Have we considered future-proofing for the ultimate future?

The Kingdom of God isn’t just a distant dream … it’s breaking in now and will one day be fully realized.

That’s the real future-proofing—aligning with God’s unshakable rule IN THE NOW. It’s beginning to live now in the light and power of the eternal Kingdom that’s coming in its completeness.

It starts with a change of heart—turning away from the False and Fallen. It’s a reorientation, a renewing of our hearts and minds toward the King and his Kingdom.

As we stack knowledge and skills for this life, let’s remember: the ultimate future-proofing is orienting ourselves to what’s on the Kingdom Horizon.

Understand this and you’ll easily be in the top 1%: We’re warming up for the Millennium and the New Heavens and Earth here and now!

The devil is not put to flight by a courteous request. He meets us at every turn, contends for every inch, and our progress has to be registered in heart’s blood and tears
