Real fathering initiates, raises, and empowers good things.
Real fathering initiates, raises, and empowers good things. Counterfeit fathering corrupts the good and fakes the real.
We just celebrated Father’s Day yesterday. Along with the U.S., countries like England and Canada mark it on the same day.
Let’s be clear—authentic fathering is more than siring. It’s not just about reproducing.
🛡️ True fathering starts things. It raises things. It empowers things.
You can father children. You can father a business, a project, a movement. Fathering means you build, protect, and release life.
The Amplified Classic renders Ephesians 3:15 like this:
"For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named [that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name]."
Or we could say it this way:
👉 God is the Father from whom every real expression of family and fatherhood finds its true origin, identity, and purpose.
But not every fathering voice is legit. There’s another father out there—a fraud. Jesus called him the “father of lies.” (See John 8.)
Jesus’ teaching was revolutionary and revelational: God is not distant. He’s not indifferent. He’s Father. He’s your Father. “Pray like this,” Jesus said: ‘Our Father who is in heaven…’”
“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights … “ (James 1.17 NASB).
Real fathering builds. Fraudulent fathering breaks. Who’s shaping you? And who or what are you shaping?
June 15-21, 2025 … "Father God, you are my true Father. Initiate, raise, and empower me for the good things you have in store. I’m grateful. Amen.”
