Just this morning, I enjoyed a refreshing time of prayer on a 20+ min. drive to a coffee appointment. I felt the Lord reveal that there is a "day of the Lord" available right in the middle of evil days. Psalm 118 says, "This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it."

It's important to note that a "day of the Lord" is about aligning with God's activity — it's not just any ordinary day. Read the context in Psalm 118. I'll try to bring more on this in next week's Kingdom Dynamic section! I was encouraged. — Brian

KINGDOM DYNAMIC
God talks up macro and personal horizons

Smart Edit newsletter

In the last issue, we emphasized how Jesus transforms our minds and inner beings, leading us to live in new Kingdom ways that reflect his teachings … new Kingdom ways of seeing, thinking, and speaking.

This spiritual formation involves cultivating a fresh, creative language (our everyday talk) that positively shapes our present and future.

God talks up horizons

God talks up horizons — “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure’” (Isaiah 46:10 NKJV).

And as children, we’re meant to imitate our Father, right? I’m not saying we are God of course. We are his growing daughters and sons. We are created in his image.

But we’re to be Godlike. And one of the ways we imitate Father God is to echo his thoughts and words about everything — as much as we have ears for.

God talks up horizons. Both macro and personal. We should too as He leads us.

Let’s know this for sure: we will live in the story we tell ourselves about our present and future.

Be encouraged! By the Spirit of Jesus, we can elevate and meet this moment.

Higher thoughts

What piece of authority do you have? Whatever piece of Christ’s authority you’ve been given, you have to carry it in this season. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you.

Your will: Ask Father God to help you yield your will to his purposes. Pray that the Holy Spirit will energize your will for aligned prayer and prayer-borne action.

Sublime kingdom

Sublime: Majestic. Not to be excelled. Supreme.

Frank Viola is a radical … and so his writing and teaching feel revolutionary.

The Latin root meaning of radical is “to return to the root.” We live in the shallows. Frankly 🙄, it’s an era of deception. So we recommend Frank!

The first-century Christians wanted the King and His kingdom, which is an alternative civilization in the midst of fallen society and corrupt governments. The kingdom is the SUBLIME within the MALIGN, and it cannot be separated from the King Himself.

HEALTH
Foods Americans eat that are banned in other nations

Paul wrote in the New Testament that our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit. We should honor God in all we do, including how we take care of our bodies.

Foods Americans eat that are banned in other nations

Despite potential health risks, the United States continues to produce and consume certain foods that are banned in other countries due to potential health risks.

Here are 3 of those 5 foods.

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs)

In the U.S., GMOs like corn, soybeans, and canola are common, with more types coming soon. While supporters say GMOs are safe and boost food production, critics argue they pose health risks. Studies suggest GMOs may affect organs like the liver and kidneys, but long-term effects are unclear.

Chlorine-washed chicken

Many store-bought chickens are treated with chlorine to kill bacteria, making them look clean. However, UK research shows this method may not be effective and can hide bacteria. Due to safety concerns, the EU bans chlorine-washed chicken from the U.S.

Milk with recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH)

rBGH is used to increase milk production in cows. While the FDA claims it's safe, it can affect human hormones. Countries like Canada, the EU, and Australia ban rBGH but still import dairy from countries where rBGH is used.

Other foods include hormone-treated beef and beverages containing brominated vegetable oil (BVO).
