KINGDOM DYNAMIC
New Kingdom ways of seeing, understanding, and speaking

Smart Edit newsletter

One of the leading things Jesus works on in our lives is transforming our minds, our inner beings. Everything flows from this well into our personal world, and further into the world around us.

Jesus will mentor you in new Kingdom ways of seeing, thinking, and speaking.

New Kingdom ways are the Jesus Way. He offers an abundant, alternative life that is different to everything you’ve known.

The Jesus Way is the future — the “world” that Jesus brings to us now and here is a precursor of the time when he will restore all things.

As we yield to Jesus, he transforms how we see and understand. And he gives us new language.

Your personal language

So how is your language (and the quality of thought behind it)? Is it generative, creating and shaping the present and future in beautiful ways?

Or is it degenerative, degrading and tearing things apart?

Here’s another way to ask these questions …

Is your language merely descriptive, talking about what is? Ad nauseam. Ad infinitum — again and again in the same way.

Or is it prescriptive and (can I use the word?) prophetic … speaking about the good things that will be? “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above” (James 1.17 NASB).

Allow the truth of this proverb to penetrate deeply: “A good man will be satisfied from above” (Prov 14.14 NKJV).

Next week we’ll continue with this tiny series. Our focus will be God talks up new personal horizons.

Higher thoughts

Situations: Got a situation? Get out of your head and seek God’s heart on it. And then lock into God’s heart for it.

Impressions: Refuse to be impressed with anything you suspect is sourced in the inferior world of the Adversary. Let God impress upon you who he is, and what his designs are.

Done deal: Faith comes to a point where it’s a done deal. You have the “title deed.” That’s a joyful place to be, even as you anticipate the realization of what you’re believing for.

STELLAR QUOTE
Prayer can do anything God can do

Some of these benchmarks from the past rock our weak faith today.

R.A. Torrey (1856-1928) was an American pastor, evangelist, educator, and writer. He was a graduate of Yale and also studied in Germany.

He served as the first superintendent of what became Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He also helped found BIOLA (Bible Institute of Los Angeles) in his career.

All that God is, and all that God has, is at the disposal of prayer. But we must use the key. Prayer can do anything that God can do, and as God can do anything, prayer is omnipotent.

Express American DNA

Here’s the concept: we pray and reaffirm the founding covenants and prayers of America. There’s real, legal authority in that. To God, covenants and prayers never die.
