I have known about the Pareto Law (the 80/20 Principle), but I’m just now reading the business classic and global best-seller. Rich with insight. Note about insight: applied insight is where we move the needle on something.

The law was discovered by Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto (1848-1923). What he uncovered is that on average 20% of inputs tend to produce 80% of the outputs. For example, 80% of sales are produced by 20% of the sales team. Amazingly, this sort of ratio is seen across all sorts of personal, business, national domains, and more.

My thought: between the Fall of Humanity and the New Heavens & New Earth, this law is pretty much embedded into everything. Use it to live and work smarter. Another example: 20% of your relationships will produce 80% of the relational value in your life. Negatively, 20% of the people in your life will produce 80% of your relational problems. I wonder … does 20% or our prayer life produce 80% of the prayer fruit we see? Perhaps.

KINGDOM DYNAMIC
“Zero to 1” startup faith, part 3 of 3

In part 1 or our mini-series on Zero to 1 startup faith, we acknowledge there are seasons when there’s a call for a reset, a ground zero moment. It’s an opportunity, a new wineskin reset to hold the new thing.

In part 2, we said we’re downrange from heroes of the faith who know that every time we create something that exists for the first time, we go from 0 to 1.

Here’s part 3 of 3. Some thoughts:

  • Your original conception was a Zero to 1 act of God.

  • Your born again experience in Christ was clearly a Zero to 1 act of God. Spiritual regeneration. In a real sense, a new species of being.

  • When you conceive and birth something in prayer, it’s Zero to 1 startup faith.

  • When you authentically prophesy and declare in faith, Zero to 1 startup faith rides on your spoken faith-thoughts.

  • Like Abraham, when you leave something and enter new promised territory, that’s Zero to 1 startup faith.

  • When you catalyze that new venture of faith, it’s Zero to 1 startup faith. Now, expand it.

I hope this gives you a good start on this theme. Thoughts? I’d like to hear from you. Simply hit reply send me you’re email.

Prayer and affirmation: "Father, elevate my faith. Give me the ‘Zero to 1’ startup faith of your Son. Jesus, you’re the originator and perfecter of my faith. Holy Spirit, awaken and stir this kind of faith in me. Thank you. Amen.”

ALL THINGS NEW
Higher thoughts

👿 For good: “Even the devil is God’s devil” (Martin Luther, the Protestant reformer). God takes things initiated by the devil and “works them together for good” for those who love God and are called in harmony with his purpose (see Romans 8.26-28).

Breakthrough power of silence: In large part, the 1st generation Israelites who left Egypt died in the wilderness because of disbelief and constant grumbling — God affirmed what they said. When the next generation came to Jericho to enter the Promised Land, God had them march in silence for 6 days around the city. There’s surprising power in shutting our mouths.

WORD WEALTH
Purpose: he has designs on you

God is filled with purpose … he has designs on you! Purpose (Greek, prothesis) means pro, before, and thesis, a place. It means a setting forth. God has deliberate plans, advance plans, a design. Our salvation flows from God’s eternal purpose. Looking forward, he has great designs for the new heavens and new earth — included in the reconciling work of Christ. And in the meantime, he has wonderful purpose for your lifetime. Romans 8.28.

Let’s pray and affirm … "Father God, thank you for your wonderful purpose. I resolve to live, and move, and have my being in your higher design. I praise you that my lifetime contributes to your Great Purpose. Amen.”

STELLAR QUOTE
The future is here

The future is already here — it’s just not equally distributed.

William Gibson, science-fiction visionary

The future belongs to Christ. The real future can only be foretasted by those who are born again in Christ. And even among Christ-followers, it’s not equally distributed.

Each of the following elements are key to taste the future: those who are “enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come” (Hebrews 6.4-5 NKJV).
