Welcome!

Oh, May!—the calendar says Spring, but my weather app is having an identity crisis.

This issue … “Salvation” is bigger than we think, you have to see it before you see it, and your attention span is now 47 seconds.

“Salvation” is bigger than you think

Each week, we spotlight a Kingdom Dynamic: a key insight into how God’s Kingdom works in real life.

The New Testament Greek word for salvation (Greek, soteria) is EXPANSIVE. It means more than just having our sins forgiven and going to heaven someday …

Soteria includes rescue, healing, deliverance, protection, preservation, and total well-being. It mirrors the Old Testament concept of “shalom”—wholeness in every part of life.

We see this clearly in the area of healing. Isaiah 53.5 (NKJV) prophesied of Christ: “...by his stripes we are healed.”

Peter echoes this phrase from Isaiah in 1 Peter 2:24:

✝️ “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed” (NKJV).

While Peter emphasizes spiritual healing, Matthew shows Isaiah’s prophecy being fulfilled in Jesus’ healing and deliverance ministry too:

“They brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: ‘He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses’” (Matthew 8.16-17 NKJV).

Total Salvation now is a foretaste of what’s coming — the restoration of everything.

💡 My point is that the flogging and sacrifice of Christ on the cross did more than secure our place in heaven—though that alone is staggering.

His suffering also opened the way for physical healing and deliverance now. Even more, it offers wholeness in every part of life: relationships, finances, purpose, and more. It’s TOTAL SOTERIA SALVATION.

If were honest and open when we read the Gospels, the message of the Kingdom includes healing and deliverance from dark powers … Jesus modeled it and said we are to do the same.

This full-spectrum salvation is available now—and it also points ahead.

🌄 Soteria is a foretaste of what’s coming: the total healing of creation in the new heavens and new earth, the restoration of all things. A serious upgrade.

We are called to be visual aides of that upgrade by experiencing FULL-SPECTRUM SALVATION.

“Jesus, thank You for the wholeness You purchased with Your wounds. I receive Your full-spectrum salvation—healing, deliverance, peace, and purpose. Make every part of my life whole in You. And empower me to take it to others. Amen.”

See it before you see it

Listen for the Voice within the voice. God hides in plain sound. A preacher or teacher, a film or song, a conversation, a book—even nature. God often speaks through imperfect sources. Human voices are flawed, but the Spirit can still breathe through them. Train your inner ear to catch the Voice via the voice. His Word is living. He still speaks. Jesus: “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” — Matthew 11:15

See it before you see it. If it’s God’s will, dare to picture your faith producing what you're believing for. Align your imagination with heaven. Call things that are not as though they are—this is how God sees. Faith agrees with his reality before it shows up in yours. “God… calls into being that which does not exist.” — Romans 4:17

Cutoff. “We are too busy to pray, and so we’re too busy to have power.” — R.A. Torrey

Bigly.

Not just heaven later. Wholeness now.

TRIVIA QUESTION: Which Bible story warns about the risks of chasing knowledge or power on our own terms—an idea that echoes in today’s conversations about AI ethics?

A) Tower of Babel
B) David and Goliath
C) Job’s supportive wife
D) Jonah and the whale
E) The Exodus

Correct answer at end of newsletter.

47 seconds. Your focus is under siege.

Many feel it’s harder than ever to stay focused. A new study says our average attention span has dropped to just 47 seconds—down from 2.5 minutes in 2004.

Blame it on buzzing phones. Endless tabs. Dopamine-driven scroll sessions. The good news? You can retrain your brain.

Turn off nonessential notifications. Take a walk instead of another scroll break. Focus on one task at a time. Try the Pomodoro technique: 25 minutes of deep work, then a 5-minute reset.

Like any muscle, FOCUS STRENGTHENS WITH USE. Start small. Stick with it. Your mind can sharpen.

Jesus: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” — Matthew 22:37 NKJV
