In the northern hemisphere, February is normally considered the last month of winter—are you Spring-primed yet? BTW, it’s Groundhog Day today! Punxsutawney Phil (!) in Pennsylvania predicts 6 more weeks of winter. Did anyone doubt that?

⌛ Live with Eternal Scale
Don’t think of your life as 80 or 90 years.
Think of it as at least 1,000 years.
When Christ returns, believers will rule and reign with Him on the earth during the 1,000-year Millennium.
The way we live now is shaping our role, capacity, and responsibility then. And that’s before the New Heavens and New Earth even begin.
Thought life.
Heart life: Attitudes. Motivation.
Words.
Action — or lack of it.
In Christ, your lifespan is not decades. It’s eternal.
Jesus said we will never die. We may sleep, but we do not perish.
C.S. Lewis understood this connection between eternity and daily life. He said that the Christians who did the most for this present world were precisely those who thought most about the next one — pointing to the apostles and the believers who helped abolish the slave trade.
Lewis wrote …
“Aim at Heaven and you will get earth ‘thrown in’: aim at earth and you will get neither.”
And this …
“The Present is the point at which time touches eternity.”
You are not living a short life.
You are in the opening chapter of an endless one.
So live like someone in development for eternity — not someone trying to squeeze meaning out of a few passing decades.
(And those big drama things? They’re really not all that with this point of view, right?)
