Embrace exponential potential in your daily
Embrace exponential results as a person of influence
August 29, 2024
Hi All,
Welcome to The Smart Edit newsletter!
This week … God likes exponential, not substraction, division, or even addition. He’s a multiplier. Prayer is breathing. And me leaning on my own understanding.
There is increased “horsepower” for you. You know that horse you will one day ride with Christ in triumph over evil? I have a hunch that something of that horsepower is available for us now. Kind of like a sample ride. Maybe practice riding. The Smart Edit is here to explore that.

KINGDOM DYNAMIC
Embrace the potential of the exponential
Kingdom fruitfulness functions on an exponential (not linear) plane. Embrace exponential results as a person of influence and in your practical, everyday life.
Exponential growth is a pattern where each step multiplies the previous result, creating rapid acceleration. It's like a supercharged snowball effect—starting small but quickly burgeoning to enormous proportions.
Picture folding paper: each fold doubles the thickness. By the 42nd fold, it would reach the Moon🌔. That's exponential growth. Humble beginnings rocketing to astronomical scales.
📈 Exponential increase is seen in compound interest, population growth, and viral content spread. Exponential processes often start subtly but can swiftly outpace linear growth, surprising us with dramatic impact.
God is like this. His kingdom is like this.
“God blessed them; and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule …’” (Genesis 1.28 NASB).
“May the Lord give you increase, you and your children! May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth!” (Psalm 115.14-15 ESV).
“For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess” (Deuteronomy 30.16 NIV).
Higher thinking
Redemptive instability. Often, “redemptive instability” is necessary for an answer to prayer to come. Are you ready for things to be shaken to get into the good stuff? Can you accept the shake? “Holy Spirit, shake things up.”
Do you believe your words? Right after Jesus said, “Have faith in God,” he said, “If we believe that what we say will come to pass, it will be done for us” (see Mark 11.22-23). Do you believe your words?
Weave. Your Life Story has the potential to beautifully weave into the Grand Story of Jesus Christ—starting right now, exactly where you are. Jesus said, "Lose your life for my sake, and you'll discover your true, best life" (Matthew 16.25).
STELLAR QUOTE
Prayer is breathing
Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758) was an American revivalist preacher, philosopher, and theologian. Some believe he was the greatest theologian America has produced. He was the leading figure of the First Great Awakening in Colonial America.
Prayer is as natural an expression of faith as breathing is of life.
