Champion real verdicts about your life

I've been thinking about the word "verdict." The second part, "dict," means to say or a saying. The first part, "ver," means truth, like in the word "veracity."

This word has Latin roots and came to us through Old French. Verdict literally means "truth saying."

Here's some encouragement: hold on to God's verdicts about your life and everything that concerns you.

False "verdicts" about you and your world may seem real. They’re not. Don't own them.

Be discerning. Stay vigilant. Embrace the true verdicts. Shun the false.

Simple exercise. Grab a sheet of paper and pen.

  • In the left column list what you sense are false verdicts about you. Cross out the false and verbally renounce them.

  • In the right column list what you sense are the real verdicts. Thank God for the real and affirm them in faith.
