Revitalize your inbox!

We’ve transitioned to a new leading edge email provider for you. The dust is settling, but I feel like the increased value is just beginning. Look for new things in The Smart.

While social media, search engines, and tech giants keep changing the game, email remains evergreen and reliable. Did you know that over 4 billion people worldwide regularly check their inboxes? That's more than half the globe! And those numbers are on the rise.

Harvesting the fruit of classic note-making

I’ve recently been challenged (again!) about note-making on cards. Ever been motivated by something like this? Note-making is more than jotting down information; it's about infusing your own insights. That's where the real treasure lies.

And especially when you feel the Holy Spirit is getting into the mix. Intrigued?

Throughout this past week, personal prayers have been centered around Colossians in the New Testament, both for my family and myself. As I've reflected, certain themes have stood out to me.

So, I've decided to distill these insights onto cards—creating a portable repository for review, prayer, and affirmation.

Beginning with Colossians, I'll build a collection of these thematic cards, continuously adding to it as I progress. I'm eager to explore other biblical texts, capturing the Kingdom themes that the Holy Spirit highlights along the way.

Picture this. A Kingdom concept from a little while ago. The present world system (kosmos) and it’s lusts are on the way out according to the New Testament. The will of God is the future … the full Kingdom is breaking over the horizon.

So this is like a meta map that reminds me of what’s at play and how the lives of authentic, developing Christ-followers align to it. The aspiration is to map to the Jesus Way Storyline.

Less Netflix and more Note-making! What do you think? Can this help you build momentum?

The cross factor: unlock your life

Unlock the abundant life that Jesus promised. The Cross Factor is the secret of embracing our cross daily as we follow Jesus Christ. It's a life that counts for the glory and story of God -- a life that elevates beyond the fallen plane.

BTW, an important tweak in the podcast name. Why the ‘X’? Several things. But one of them is that ‘X’ is a variable … and that variable is you when Jesus factors into your life.

Appreciate you. Until next time.
