INSPO TOUCHSTONE: Keep on asking, seeking, and knocking
Hey there, glad to have you in The Smart Edit newsletter loop! We're spicing things up by adding 'Edit' to the newsletter title starting this week. There's a reason for that. Look for the newsletter in your inbox this Thursday.
This surfaced on a walk: introducing the 'Inspo Touchstone' email. It's a quick and hopefully inspiring message I'm rolling out at the beginning of each week (Tuesdays, at least for now). Think of it as a swift, strong Kingdom thought from Jesus to help us move the needle! See the first one below ...

Here’s the first Inspo Touchstone
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you." Jesus in Matthew 7:7 NLT
The New Living Translation is helpful in daylighting what Jesus meant here. Because that is exactly the tense in the Greek language: start asking and keep on asking … same with seeking and knocking.
You can apply this Jesus Faith Process to any need, challenge, or potential ➡️
🤲 Inquire and Ask: Open a conversation thread with the Father. Prayer primes the Faith Process. It’s catalytic. Articulate your needs, desires, and hopes. It's your most fruitful investment of personal life energy.
🔎 Continue in Faith with Believing Exploration: Seeking is moving beyond mere inquiry to active engagement. It's about probing, experimenting, and putting out faith feelers. Trusting that our efforts will yield results.
🚪 Bold Action: Knocking represents the tangible steps we take in alignment with our faith. Seizing opportunities, pursuing goals, and embracing the doors that open in alignment with God's design.
“King Jesus, I'm your apprentice in your Kingdom. I’m at your service. What can I apply this Faith Process to?”
Touchstone quote:
“Mind how you pray. Make real business of it. Let it never be a dead formality … plead the promise in a truthful, business-like way … Ask for what you want, because the Lord has promised it. Believe that you have the blessing, and go forth to your work in full assurance of it.” C.H. Spurgeon
